So we hustled back to Anne's Green Machine (our Ford Taurus) and headed back downtown to the lower broad area , pulled in behind the Nashville Arena, fed the meter and walked across the street to the fairly new 35 Million Dollar......
COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME MUSEUM
Where I could show Jack a little bit of Musuc Row History in relative warmth. I had not toured the museum since it moved in here from Music Row. In fact I was only in this building one time since it opened about 6 years ago. That was for a great memorial tribute to songwriter / artist Don Gibson "Oh Lonsome Me" , "I Can't Stop Loving You", "Sweet Dreams" etc.
There's Lots To See Here For Anyone... Even Those Who Don't Listen To "Goat Roper" Music as Jack calls it. Costumes, Instruments. Personal Possesions, Archival Films and Recordings Up The Whazoo....

THE THING I'M MOST PROUD OF THOUGH IN HERE WAS KNOWING & WORKING WITH THESE GUYS !
SEEING THEM FINALLY GET INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME WHERE THEY SHOULD BEEN YEARS BEFORE

Gordon Stoker their leader, was an encourager for me to make the move to Nashville back in 1986. I still am happy to call him my friend. As I wrote in my auto biography, just remove their vocals from Don't Be Cruel, Hound Dog, Poor Little Fool, Crazy, and THOUSANDS MORE HIT RECORDS and tell me if it still sounds as good.
