THE CUMBERLAND RIVER

Here Comes The General Jackson

With her stacks flipped down to clear the bridges. This view is looking south easterly

Turning about and preparing to dock. That Big Thing across the river is the Coliseum. It's an NFL Stadium and home of The Titans.

RIVERBOATS ...SORT OF CONJURES UP THE IMAGE OF DAVY CROCKETT

Fort Nashboro The Original Town Of Nashville

This settlement was built on the river as a trading post in 1779. This is not the original but a reproduction that was built when Jack & I were going to Auto Mechanics

back in Bellport (1962)

HOW IT MIGHT OF LOOKED IN DAVY'S DAY

Thanks to Photoshop I took out the sidewalks & power lines

WHAT DAVY CROCKETT DIDN'T SEE......LOOKING WEST ACROSS THREE CENTURIES

The 18th Century Fort, 19th Century 1st Ave. Riverfront Buildings, 20th Century "BATMAN" Building

FOOL ON THE HILL ?

On our way back to my house, we passed by the backside of the State Capital Building which sits on the highest hill in town.

On any Mon - Friday when the legislature is in session there are many fools inside it. Trust Me I Know!

And just in case Jack was getting homesick we passed by the Chrysler Dealer too. Jack has worked for Chrysler almost since they stopped making DeSoto's. I told him the tale of how I nearly drove off that lot in 1989 in a Forest Green '35 DeSoto Airflow!
