I remember it like it was yesterday, even though it happened well over a half a century ago. One Saturday morning Pop demonstrated in front of me and my brother and most importantly all our neighborhood friends who gathered at our house to watch, how a "telephone man" climbs a pole. With just a leather belt and spikes on his boots he went up one on McKinley Drive like a monkey as we all watched in awe........... it was like we were at the circus
