For all the gearheads ...
A FEW OF CALIFORNIA'S CARS
What better place to see Hot Rods than in the state where they started ?
and many of them just driving around.

I CAME UPON IT ON THE STREET IN ST. HELENA
"It was looking good from tail to hood" ... Marc Cohn

A GENUINE "VICKY" JUST A YEAR OLDER THAN

ON THE SONOMA TOWN SQUARE A '29 FORD TUDOR
I talked with the owner... he has had it for 21 years now, its all steel and all Ford

You can never have too many sedans around. I saw several roadsters and coupes too but they all were either on the move
or I was. And speaking of the State where hot rodding started, these cars are parked right across from The Barracks
where a group of rebels known as The Bear Party held up in 1846 and declared California free from Mexico.

FAR FROM A HOT ROD ... BUT RATHER A BIG BLACK BEAR ! ALSO PARKED THERE

However it's famous V8 powered many a rod, including mine in the 1950 & '60s
You could say the Caddy & Olds OHV V8's Were The Hitmen For The Ford Flathead

MEANWHILE UP THE ROAD AWAYS IN GEYSERVILLE
HE took 4,000 Pounds Of Clay And HE Said ... Hey Francis

Make a movie about Preston Tucker (who was crucified by the BIG THREE ) and his dream machine will ya and I'll get you a couple of real ones to play with. Though it looks it, I doubt this is clay, probably plastic, ( I didn't touch it) it was movie prop.
and so Francis did and now he has one of his two Tuckers on display in his over the top mega Winery - Movie Memorabilia Theme Park

Of the original 50 Tuckers that were built, something like 46 still remain and Francis & his director pal George Lucas have 4 of them
Those four could probably finance a nice indie film

I told the museum guard that I saw one for sale on Long Island (near where Francis went to college) for around $2 Grand in 1972 ... If I Only Knew
Francis Ford Coppola's Winery Though Truly Was Something To See & Experience
You Could Say It Was A Blockbuster And You Will See More Of It
