"Floyd Girls Are Easy"

-------

Setting The Record Straight ..... Again

----------------

In his 1902 book "Historic Long Island" Rufus Rockwell Wilson tells this amusing tale about Mastic neighbors the Floyds & the Smiths and why there was a chilly wind blowing down the rustic old Neighborhood Trail between them.

Well good old Roofie (only his friends can call him that ) gets a few facts and names mixed up. But hey, in the era of Faux News and Rush Limburgers stinkin' up the air waves, What's Da Problem ?.....

Here's the story as printed, followed by a few minor corrections that you can take to the bank ...... providing of course that your bank is still in business .....K.S.

and BTW Who Said Floyd Girls Were Easy ? ....

Those Tyranical Tangier Smiths? ....

Dems Are Fighting Words ... Ruth Floyd Woodhull

FORTY THOUSAND ACRES IS A LOT BETTER THAN FORTY ACRES & A MULE

NOW AS SGT. FRIDAY USED TO SAY....

" JUST THE FACTS "

The Judge was Judge Smith, not Floyd .... Betsey Is BETSEY WOODHULL not FLOYD,..... Betsey was the daughter of General Nathaniel Woodhull & his wife, Ruth Floyd Woodhull ( who was William Floyd's The Signer not The Shriner) Sister .......

And Furthermore Betsey's First Husband Was HENRY NICOLL , not Mr. Ed.

PS : Betsey Is Buried In The Woodhull Graveyard On Neighborhood Road (overlooking the Sand Bar) & Her Last Husband John (Who Died First ), Is Buried "Hardby" In The Backyard Of His House at "The Manor Of St. George" (overlooking Sandy Shirley Beach) .....
