THE DANA's
"GREY CLIFFS"
That may well be Mrs. Katherine Floyd Dana standing in front of her home "Grey Cliffs" located in Englewood, NJ. The photo is circa 1870-80. This was the William B. Dana's winter residence and permanent home before they built Moss Lots in Mastic in 1881. In 1935 Grey Cliffs would suffer a similar fate that would befall Moss Lots 35 some years later. Both were destroyed, the New Jersey one by" PROGRESS" for Palisades Parkway and Mastic by "ARSON"for ????
