SYLVIA SURFACES
a long way from Greenlawn
I should know full well by now you can't assume
anything about this family, as they had the means to go anywhere
they wanted to. I recently found several items about the first
Mrs . Joseph P. Knapp and mother to Claire A. and Joseph F. Knapp
here is their marriage anouncement
in the N Y TIMES Nov 1886.
After their divorce in 1904 She took
a cottage in Newport, Rhode Island before returning to Bellport.
BUT THE BIG NEWS IS WHERE DID SHE GO
WHEN CLAIRE LEFT GREENLAWN FOR MASTIC ?
This explains why Sylvia T. Kepner
Knapp, has been so hard to find. She may be buried in France too?
Notice the original spelling of Mastick and that Claire was at
her winter home in South Carolina.
More coming about Sylvia , Joe, Claire,
Dodi et al
