They were born 6 months apart (Jan-June in 1886 ) and were very old friends by the time this photo was taken on Arthur "Bugs" Baer's 55th Birthday in 1941. I would bet big bucks that it was Jack who arranged the singing telegram

Bugs was known for his humour columns and his carictures. Babe Ruth was one of his closest friends and Bugs wrote the script for Babe's bio movie. He also coined the term "Sultan Of Swat"
