MORE KNAPP STUFF
The Gold Portrait of Teddy Roosevelt was done by J. P.'s Knapp Co. around 1905. The sheet music "Tam O Shanter" has a great Sleepy Hollow litho and was done by his father J. F Knapp of the, Major & Knapp Engraving Co in 1855.

The certificate on the left is to my other grandfather Jack Spooner and is from President John F. Kennedy. My gramps and JFK's father Joe P. Kennedy were pals. But that's not why JFK gave him the honor. It's because Jack Spooner who died two months before JFK did, was a U. S. Marine. Semper Fi! The autograph in the middle is to my Mom from another Roosevelt, F D R in 1932 when he first campaigned for president.

On the right are the newest arrivals at The White House on Elm Road in Mastic Beach in November of 1950. Top of the stoop clockwise is my sister Gerry holding Cocoa our dog then "The First Lady Of The House" Mimi Joseph our Mom. My big brother Butchie below her and the little squirt is yours truly pushing 3 & 1/2 years old. Pop was behind the Brownie.

In the foreground is one of the nicest pieces of production rolling sculpture ever created. The 1948 Jaguar XK -120. This one was made by Marx Toy Co. Several years later a 2nd generation Jag,an XK 150 was gracing our driveway courtesy of Gerry's boyfriend. Butchie & Me had to push it once to help him get it started
