A GREAT SONG FOR THE OCCASsION NOV 6, 2012

"LET THE BAND PLAY DIXIE"

Abraham Lincoln April 14, 1865

My friend and co writer, the late great Bob Gibson, wrote this tune with Dave North. Bob sent me a tape of it some 20 years ago. He recorded it on his Uptown Saturday Night album. It's a true story of a little known lost to history incident, in the life of Abraham Lincoln. ( I am really looking forward to Spielburg's film Lincoln and hope he may of included this story in because it is a relevant today as it was when Lincoln said it )

In the light of this polarized country, it seems to me a whole lot of people should listen to it and if you don't get it, you may have a future as an

A&R person down on Muzak Row , right cheer in Nashville, TN.
