The Grapes Of Math
They go on and on for miles

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
I took some good natured ribbing from friends when they heard I was going to Napa .. e.g. Do The Napas Live There ? I don't know if the Italian line of the Knapps settled there, but I found out that the town of Napa is the birthplace of the electric loudspeaker invented in May of 1915 and also of The Magnavox Corp.
IT WAS OVER 100 DEGREES THE DAY WE ROLLED INTO THE CITY OF NAPA SO WE DIDN'T SPEND MUCH TIME WALKING AROUND THERE OPTING INSTEAD TO DRIVE THROUGH IT
SPEAKING OF TOWN NAMES WE VISITED LUTHER BURBANK'S PLACE IN SANTA ROSA . HUH? EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BURBANK IS DOWN SOUTH IN TINSELTOWN
THAT'S BECAUSE IT' S NAMED FOR DAVID BURBANK (a dentist ) , NOT LUTHER... WHO IS CONSIDERED THE FATHER OF HORTICULTURE

It Was One Of Anne's Favorite Stops And Although His Very Fine 19th Century Home Was Closed For The Day
By The Time We Got There, It Didn't Matter To Her As It Was His Gardens That She Came To See.

WE ALSO VISITED CORNERSTONE GARDENS IN SONOMA
WHICH WAS A VERY UNIQUE PLACE TO SAY THE LEAST
Cornerstone Gardens is an ever-changing series of walk-through gardens, showcasing new and innovative designs from the world's finest landscape architects and designers. The first such gallery-style gardens in the United States, the nine-acre Cornerstone Gardens was created as an inspiration and resource for people interested in gardens, garden design and art.

WE ALSO VISITED THE PETRIFIED FOREST IN CALISTOGA CA AND WENT BACK IN TIME
TO 3 MILLION YEARS AGO WHEN A VOLCANO TURNED GIANT REDWOODS INTO STONE

THE TOWN OF SONOMA (pop 9,128) WAS ALSO A DELIGHT. THEY WERE HOSTING A LARGE ART FESTIVAL
& WINE TASTING (so whats new?) IN THE TOWN SQUARE PARK WHILE WE THERE

After Four Days In Wine Country It Was Time To Say Good By To The Grapes & Head South To Sausolito To Turn In Our Trusty Silver Chevy
and Hop On A Ferry To Make Our Way Across The Bay To Our Last Stop
