Arthur's son Louis also got into the family business And Arthur was very busy in the 1950s

getting the New York Coliseum up and running.

 

By 1960 he was also involved with refurbishing Carnegie Hall

 

Like Energiser Rabbits The Smadbeck Brothers Kept On Going & Going

 

 

In 1963 you could still buy land from 78 year old Warren Smadbeck at a good price and easy terms

until July of 1965

as I mentioned at the outset of this, the thing that got a nice dialogue going with Warren, was my mentioning the Hotel Presidente to him. In spite of Castro and his policy's the place is still standing strong. Here are a few items about the builders of it.
